about me

I wrote my first website when I was 15, a long time ago. Back then, CSS3 didn't exist and gifs were everywhere! I studied illustration and graphic design at ENSAD, art school in Paris. It then felt natural to work in the web design industry.

I started working as an integrator, but out of curiosity and drive, I started learning Javascript to go further what's possible to do in HTML and CSS.

I love to build websites that behave like web-apps. I think of web development as building an organic entity. Thus, as I set up a grid system, toy with a color palette, I like to think of how it could come alive. Micro-interactions that give feedback, global motion-design that adds up a look & feel which will engage the user and beautiful typography are those things that can give a soul and a funky touch to a website.

So, as years passed, I specialized myself more and more in Javascript. I now use it not only for front-end work but also to write tools meant to be used in-house.

I favor a composition and functional oriented programming style, although it is not always the de facto way to write. My primary concern is to use the right tool for the right job and write readable, no-nonsense code.
